Patrick L. Crawford (1929-2021)
Patrick worked for Des Moines Escrow as a Limited Practice Officer, Escrow Officer and Notary Public, from 2005 until 2021. He spent his childhood in Sunnyside, graduating from the K-12 one-room schoolhouse, the Waneta School, where he really did walk miles through the snow to get to school. He was a graduate of Central Washington University, and later earned a Master’s degree from the University of Washington. He served in the Marine Corps from 1946 to 1952 on active duty, and subsequently six more years in the USMCR. Patrick was a Real Estate managing broker licensee from 1966 until his passing, and a Real Estate Educator for over 40 years. For 15 years, he managed his company specializing in manufactured home communities, and was a licensed Realtor in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Concurrently with his real estate activity, he was a math teacher in the Edmonds School District from 1958 to 1987, also serving as a wrestling coach and supervisor of the Horse Club at Lynnwood Junior High. He lived in Des Moines with his wife, Donna.
